07 mustang gt owner
Wassup guys. New used white mustang gt owner :P . Bought it at a local credit for 19k w/ 12k miles on it. I have a question for you members. My audio isnt the shaker 500 but i want to upgrade to one. What exactly do i need to upgrade to it. THey sell the decks on ebay for a decent amount. But some people are saying you need subs as well?

2007. Everythiing is basic. no shaker 500 or leather seats and stuff. How easy or hard is it to install the shaker 500? also where can i get an HID kit for my gt cuz mine only has halogen.

The shaker 500 does not have the best rap. Its often referred to the "Skipper 500", I would recommend you go to a good audio store and get yourself and aftermarket radio. As for the HID, the stock HID that came with the 2008 models is very expensive..around $1K for a pair. Lots of folks here have purchased an HID kit from stangmods.coma site sponsor here. Too bad the doggone search function ain't working, becuase I have read tons of post on the HID. Welcome.

i just bought a 07 GT also. It has a shaker 1000, thats the one with the subs in the trunk and they bump. As far as the system goes it sounds great but when you plug an ipod in the volume wont get as loud. Even tho I really like my shaker I'd do whatTPony said and go aftermarket that way you can get somethingthatll fit your needs perfectly. Also my buddy has an 05 GT w/o the shaker and he is missing some of the locations to put all the speakers that come with it.

What you need to do is go to your iPod and go to settings, then go down to volume limit, turn it all the way up then hit the center button.
Plug it into the stang, turn it all the way up, and then it will be slightly louder than the radio... it sounds sweet.
(your iPod might be different than mine so I dont know if it will be the same.)
As for upgrading to the shaker 500, yep go aftermarket.
