Hey everyone. Im new here at this forum. I love mustangs! My fav car. Im on my 3rd. I had a 99 V6 laser red. 2001 GT 5speed.Yellow with black widow body kit. Cobra R rims. Removed air silencer, ground effect lights, tinted windows and had interior painted same color. and modified seats. Think thats about it. I traded it for a 2001 Corvette.(Vett was a POS) i cried the night after i brough the vett home wanting my stang back. That was 3yrs ago. Sold vett 2years ago. Now i finally got me another pony back, 1967 with 302 with auto. I know its not the stock engine/trans. But its safe at home with me. IM so EXCITED again and happy that i got another mustang back!!!! Got a few ideals of what i want to do. Want it white with 2 blue stripes and black interior. Going to leave the 302 in it. Just clean up rebuild and paint it. The car is in pretty good shap. The only thing is. The oraginal owner back in early 90s put a new vinel top on and didnt clean and dry the top b4 putting top on. Now its rusted the whole top off. From windshield to back window. Its been parked since 1995. And has a bit more surface rust is all. Interior is shot but GREAT FLOOR pans and FENDER wells. Suprising on how well it looks for sitting in a old leakey shed for 13years. ITs going to be a project for me and my lil brother(im 24 and hes 17). Were both excited to get it going again. Anyone got any suggestions or comments?

As for the top, It's not necessarily that he didn't dry the top, more likely that the glue didn't seal and moisture developed. I had a the same problem with my 71.
