I got her with only 53,000 miles which I was pumped about. But it was a loooong drive home so now there is 54,000.

Dang that's pretty good mileage. My g/f's 01 GT had 48,000 on it when we picked it up but now it has a little bit over 53,000 on it. Do you have any plans with it?

No not yet. I am not going to do anything to the body...I don't really like it to be too customized but I do want to get more horsepower but I am not sure what to do yet. I've been reading about putting in a new cold air intake but I have no idea how much that will actually add. Any suggestions?

I would do a Cold air, throttle body, intake plenum, a catted or off-road x-pipe and a cat back of your choice. All depending on how much money you have to spend, and I would figure all of that with a tune could add you 20-30whp give or take some. Just start with any of the above and go from there.
