YO YO YO... whats up to all, i just bought a 98 mustang GT, i had a 2001 jeep wrangler sahara but i got tired of it so i figured id get a stang and make that my lil project while im in school. i dont really know too much about the car, ive had it for about 24 hours now and ive already put 150 miles on it just driving it around getting used to the clutch and the gearing, i was wondering what mod i should do first... thanks guys

lf you're in a budget, you should do the bolt-on mods such as mufflers, gears, air filter, and CPU. lf you get the parts from www.summitracing.com, you'll have to pay about $700.

i would think that the price of those mods would be alittle more than 700. A decent exhaust installed will run you just about 700. I think the first is a K&N air filter. the second thing i would do is change the exhaust, i have the magnaflow cat back and and choose an off road h-pipe. That was probably the best money i have ever spent. If you have some extra money get the headers done. Then i would do 3:55 gears in the rear. u will notice a huge difference when you do that. wait out on the CPU chip...sometimes it screws up stuff and makes the car run a little rich, i would wait for the chip, maybe when your all doen get a custom ship made for you car, a little expencesive though. Then you could do pullies, open up the throttle body and mass air meter.

l didn't estimate the prices of labor because l'm not the mechanic.

And if you're going to change the pipe, l think the x-pipe would be better because it has a smoother flow.
