Hey guys I'm just trying to get active on a few more websites than the normal 3 I hang out on. I'm currently building another motor for my 99 GT and also have a motor on the stand for my 67 lol... Way too many projects at one time.. I also just swapped the vortech Si off my GT for a KB. Anyways my main ride is the GT so I'll do a little mod list of that.
99 GT 426rwhp/470tq in 90 degree heat on stock motor 160k Miles!!! Has had 20 bottles of N20 Sprayed at 125 setting, Vortech for 20k miles at 12lbs and now Kenne Bell... Dunno how it holds but it does. I tune my own stuff and I run a VERY aggressive tune on everything. I guess the fact that I dont care if it explodes is what holds her together lol. But I put ALOT of time in my tunes with alot of revisions to get the very most out of the car... Still gets 21MPG on the freeway. I commute the car daily.
Kenne Bell 2.1 with cobra inlet and TB at 11lbs - 9lb pulley but makes 11
Bolts on usual stuff... TB, prochamber, magnaflow mufflers, MSD cops
Boost a spark - Got it free... dont ever waste your money on one I can explain why.
3.73 gears with modified trac lock
Killer Chiller - AWESOME MOD... Intercooler water is always 45-55 degrees
Full length sub frames
MM Rear adjustable control arms
MM caster Camber plates
Eibach Springs
Koni STR shocks
35mm Front sway bar
Adjustable rear sway bar
Relocated battery
Relocated Intercooler tank
MGW shifter, CF DF clutch
LFP Radiator
03 Cobra front Control Arms
All new tie rods, Poly bushings, ball joints
Torque Box welded and battle boxes installed
I think thats it? lol.... O ya and my wife hates this car and my passion but I just bought her 2k dollar Ashley couches and love seat, black leather, all power... so she's happy for now lol... She will want a new car soon though...
My new motor is as follows
MMR 1000 short block
Ported PI heads
CMS Stage 2 blower cams
KB 2.1 with mammoth inlet, cobra TB.... Going for 550+ RWHP out of this setup.. The limiting factor on the 2.1 KB is the stock inlet.. Its horrible. Just swaping the cobra inlet picks up 3lbs on the 14lb pulley setting. I've seen 3 others make over 600rwhp with the 2.1 with these mods so I'm going for it. The IAT's are actually pretty good with the Killer Chiller. I scored the KB on a great deal with only 9k miles on it. The motor had blown up that it was on and put a few very minor nicks in the rotors. It was torn down, rotors polished, new bearings put in and while apart I ported the intake manifold also. The 2.1 is approved for smog in CA and has the CARB sticker which is a huge plus. So far its working great though with only a 9lb pulley on 91 octane it layed down 426rwhp but the boost gauge and data logger shows 11lbs and actually crosses to 12lbs after 5k RPM... This thing is breathing good so far.
Ok anyways thats a long list and alot of rambling. Hope you guys are having a great weekend.
