Please allow me to introduce myself...
Name's Murg.
I am a car guy.
Been a car guy as long as I can remember.
My first car was an `82 Mustang Notch. White. 2300, automatic. I bought it my senior year of highschool, and loved every minute of it.
I wrapped it around a tree not long after I graduated.
Since then I have owned somewhere near 200 cars. Can't help myself. Some I buy cheap and sell cheap, some I buy and drive till they can't be driven anymore.
About fifteen years ago I left the faithful and bought a Toyota Celica. Big mistake. That little bugger has been by my side through thick and thin since. A week ago on our trip home from work, she decided she didn't like her most recent engine and it needed to go. Right now. In the middle of the road. Shiny oily bits for a mile.
I am still upset at her.
Best way to teach her a lesson was to buy another car, right?
Things didn't go the way I thought they would, and the next day was a rather fast blur of circumstances that I didn't understand, but knew better than to question.
I bought my first brand new car.
A 2013 Ford Mustang.
White.
I am still in shock over the whole thing, cause first, I never thought a was a new car kinda guy and second, my wife allowed the purchase. Ya'know?
I have 70 mile a day commute, and last I checked I wasn't made of money. Don't have anything to prove to anyone, so I bought the V6. I have been doing this a while, and I don't care how many cylinders you have, 300 ponies is a pretty groovy number. 30MPG is just as groovy.
I am no stranger to turning wrenches. Eaten my fair share of oil and grease.
Got me a handful of cars.
2000 Ford Explorer. Penelope the Pig. The wife's ride.
1967 Chrysler New Yorker. Socrates.
1990 Toyota Celica. Chaos.
2013 Ford Mustang. Harmony.
Since this is a Mustang based site, I suppose I should also inform you that I have owned a lot of them. Never owned an SN95 or a Mustang II, only had one first gen, a `69 Coupe. I have owned about fifteen or so Fox chassis though. Never really kept a count of them.
Anyways, glad to be hear, hope y'all are a nice group of cats.

Nice little story MURG, enjoyed it, and welcome. I have the same kind of wife. She was behind me in 2003 when I bought my new GT. And she'd let me get a '13 GT if I wanted. To happy with the '03. Of course, somehow she ended up with a Black '04 Mach1 w/ an Automatic, the same week I laughed at her in March of '07 saying, they were too rare to find! And one popped up. I'm still stunned. Hope you keep your '13 for a long time. Again welcome MURG.
