I meant to buy a Camaro
#12
Thank you for the welcome everyone. I've now owned my Mustang 5 days and don't remember ever having so much fun driving a car. I only have Sunday off this weekend but the following weekend I have 3 days off and I plan on during a short road trip then.

I have no idea as to why they still had a new '12. I do notice that the window sticker is for a dealership in Iowa City and the dealership I bought it from is in Niles IL.

Closest Ford dealer by me still has a new 2012 Blue Mustang GT for sale and asking $2,000 above MSRP. Across the street is a Dodge dealer that was asking $10,000 above sticker for a Challenger SRT8. I drove a few extra miles & got my new Challenger SRT8 for $8,000 off MSRP & my new Mustang for $9,600 off MSRP.

I wanted a Camaro so last Monday I figured that I would stop and look at a Challenger and a Mustang before stopping at the Chevy dealership. I wanted to tell myself I did my homework and shopped around before I of course would buy the Camaro. I stopped at the Dodge dealer first and it really did not excite me. Then I stopped at a ford dealer and test drove a still new and unsold silver 2012 Mustang V6 Premium with a manual transmission. And there I ended up signing away my 2006 Malibu SS and left the dealership owning the 2012 Mustang. So I guess I never made it over to the Chevy dealership. And that is how I arrived at this forum.

To StaleyStarch, it's great that you didn't even drive to the Chevy dealership after driving the Mustang! I haven't had the chance to drive the newer models, but strictly based on appearance I think the new Mustang looks sooo much better than the Camaro!
