Potential New Mustang GT Owner [Very Excited]
Hi fellas!
I've grown up with imports. My first car was an 2002 Impreza 2.5RS and I still drive it today.
So naturally, when it came time to buy my first car... all I looked at were imports.
My choices for something fast and under 25-26K was limited. I basically had two choices:
1. Ford ST
2. Subaru WRX
I test drove both cars and were blown away with the performance. I was leaning towards the WRX until I saw a used 2012 Mustang GT on the lot.
I test drove it, and I think I soiled myself. If Beethoven was still alive, I think he would write his 10th symphony using the exhaust notes on this thing.
I wanted it. so. bad. I have never driven a domestic muscle car with this kind of precision. It handled and wrapped around corners pretty damn well.
But the new ones on the lot were all 2014 GT Premiums and were at least 5-6 grand out of my budget.
That's when I found a eQuote for a base GT for 25.3K after incentives. Combined with the college graduate discount, I would be getting it for under 25K pre tax and fees.
Absolutely ridiculous.
If everything works out, I will be a proud Mustang GT owner by Friday. Thought I'd share with you guys!

Independent suspension and weight reduction is nice, but there is no way I'm getting a 2015 Mustang GT for 25K. They increased the price on it, so I'm looking at least 32K here.

Good choice! Although the IRS could have been a deal breaker, the 2015 just doesn't cut it enough. Hope the dealer gets the car sooner. My dealer had to do the same thing, shipped it 300 miles by driving it (eugh...) It was the closest one that was a black V6 stick with NOTHING on it but Free Tinting
