I just recently bought a 1970 Mustang Coupe and wanted to come to the forum for tips and advice from seasoned Mustang Enthusiasts. I haven't owned a Mustang since I had my 1974 Mustang II in 1982. I found this 1970 on Craigslist for sale by the original owner. It had been sitting in a field for about 20 years. The 302 is shot but the car is complete other than that. I just have a lot of work to do to bring her back to life. I look forward to being part of this forum and picking the brains of the members for any help I may need.

Welcome, and good luck on the restoration, but 20 yrs in a field can't be good.

Thanks for the welcomes. I just got the car last Friday and am currently, and will continue to be for awhile, in the disassembly and discovery phase. I know the front floorboards are gone but other than surface rust and a few dents the body is in good shape. 20 years of neglect will take awhile to overcome but I have time to put into it. I want to use the car as a driver so I haven't really made the decision yet on how in depth the restoration will be. I will make that determination after completing the tear down and seeing the car's potential.
