New from Florida! 89 LX
Traded a race truck I had for this car last week.. enjoying it alot so far... not much of a convertible guy.. but the car is really solid and has some goodies on it already.
89 Vert LX.
5.0, AOD, BBK Headers, flowmaster exhaust, paint to match air intake, edelbrock throttle body, MSD distributor and coil, ford racing wires, subframe connectors, and other goodies.
All I have done so far is put in new headlights and a shorty antenna haha.
Next up is a 3" cowl hood and swapping out the 2.73 granny gear set for a 3.55.
After that I want to swap heads/cam.
Tell me what you guys think!
116,000 on the clock and counting!

Hey bro congrats on your new purchase, thats one clean foxbody. Yea changing out the rear axle ratio would really wake up your stang. When I changed my gears out it was a night and day difference. I would recommend a nice set of coil-overs for that car. The car already has a healthy V-8, just match that engine with a nice suspension and viola' you got your self a potent canyon cruiser.

Great find, congrats and welcome to the forum.
Your gonna love the gear change. But some say to go alittle steeper in the gear if your running an AOD. 3:73 min. but to each his own. And as long as you have a complete rearend to swap in it'll still be a completely different car. Good luck

The rear end came with the car.. so it's a free swap! Hahah.. I would have done 4.10 if I was buying the parts... but literally all I need is gear oil and about an hour of my time.
I agree 3.55 is a not enough... but will be a MILLION times better than the current G ma gear hahah.
Thank you!
