Default Some time you just get lucky

Hello all, new guy and new mustang.

After years of waiting and wishing, I am now the proud owner of a 1998 yellow GT.

20 years of marriage and kids meant I was always sacrificing a lot of myself for the good of the family. So the hot rod had to wait.

Not any more! I ran across this 98 on craigslist and had to go check it out. Any time you see a car like this being sold for the measly sum of $2000 you have to ask, what is wrong with it?

I am happy to say that besides a throw out bearing, paint, and some clean up, nothing. It has 150k miles on it, runs like a new car. and dives down the road straight. I can not believe my luck. Even had a clean title.

Any way, my plan is to take it road racing and autox. So suspension mods, tires and wheels, and chassis stiffening is the top priority.

Great resource here, keep up the good work. I will post pictures, once I remember to take some.

Thanks guys.

The mustang has been number 1 on my wish list from the time I was old enough to know what they were.

I had a 76 Cobra II when I got married years ago and had to let it go to get a 4 door family car.

This may sound a little sensational, but 20 years later it is a dream come true for me.

I will get some pictures, or maybe a video up later today. It really is amazing how well the car runs.

Thanks.

Well I broke it yesterday.

I decided to change the plugs and wires. When I pulled the number 4 plug wire it was full of coolant. I think it is leaking from the hose that runs under the intake. I hope it is not the intake, and just the hose. I didn't have time to pull it apart and see for sure, but will get to it in the next day or so. I might just replace the intake while I am at it.

I did figure out that it has the new npi intake on it, so someone had it replaced. The funny part is, if I had not pulled the plugs, I would not have known.

Pictures still to come.
