Yeah, I have failed the inspection test every year the past 4 years. 3 times with my previous car - toyota corolla for broken headlight, leaking muffler, and dead parking light. this past year i failed in the mustang b/c my tune turned the rear 02s off, so when they hooked up the obd connector, it said my computer wasn't ready. had to convert back to stock and drive it 50 miles before it would pass.

Charlotte is a border town - if you don't have to be on the north side you can always live in South Carolina. No vehicle inspections down here. :-) I live in SC and work in Charlotte - welcome to the area!

I'm pretty sure if your car is registered in NC, you have to get it inspected in NC. There are a few counties where they do not do emissions testing, but im not even sure if you can go to one of those if you are registered in a county that has to do emissions testing. Does anyone know for sure? I was thinking about an ORH pipe as my next mod.
