Full synthetic and oil changes
Just got my 06 GT on Thursday and I was curious about oil changes. The vehicle has 37k miles on it and the sticker the dealership put on it shows Next Service at 42k miles or 11/24. I don't know what they put in it but I will be calling them this week to ask.
I am wanting to go to full synthetic either AMS or RP. I am not really the type of person that changes their own oil, so what I was thinking about doing is just buying what I need then going to a reputable shop and letting them doing it while I watch (so I know they are using my stuff).
With full synthetic would I be changing it out roughly every 10k miles? This vehicle is my daily driver with 250 miles a week.
Thanks guys.

Now, about his warranty
all he has to do to insure his warranty is use an oil that meets the minimum specs Ford established.
WSS- M2C925-A
or
WSS- M2C930-A
If he has an engine failure of any kind, and the extended warranty wants to fight it. When they do an oil analysis and discover a better oil than spec'd they have no grounds to stand on. Even a trial lawyer in BITOG said the warranty company would lose every time. Heck he even said unless they can prove the oil was the culprit (which they can't) they will lose.
