Would you recommend running an additive like redline when using penzoil ultra or valvoline synpower?
I would use the Red Line additive in any lubricant that was API SM. 1 ounce per quart. Although, the last guy that tried to get me to use API SM has a few teeth missing.
*Kidding about the teeth*
I'm not big on buying a lubricant that requires an extra additive that I must add to make the oil safe for high performance use, especially in forced induction applications. I prefer to buy a lubricant that is formulated with high levels of ZDDP, and ready to go in my engine.

But....if you have the additive, and the oil sitting around. Why not go ahead and use it.
