Question Recommended Oil

I have a 2002 GT with an SCT Tuner, BBK CAI, Flowmasters and after I installed the SCT tuner I noticed a little chatter from the bottom end of the motor when I smash the throttle. The Oil level is correct but I was curiouse to know if people are changing the oil viscosity. Any recommendations will greatfully be appreciated. I would think a little thicker would be better when demanding more from the engine.

I use 5w30 royal purple you DONT need a thicker oil, thicker is actually bad for your engine at start up (where most of the wear and tear happens)

opt for a robust 10W-30 in the summer months, and a 0W-30 in the winter months.

Amsoil, Royal Purple, or Red Line are your true synthetics, and would be my first three choices.

I think this is a fuel thing, not oil. What octane tune did you install? Maybe you need to pull back on the time a bit.

Not to thread jack mah man, but Saturday will be my first oil change. 11 GT w/ 7200 miles in Texas. So Beast, you recommeded a robust oil in the summer months? My heart is set on Amsoil, so then I do a 10W30? Thoughts? Ideas? Comments? Pics? (wait, what forum am I on?)

Seems to me that following the manufacturers specs would be a no brainer
