Default TEIN FLEX COILOVERS 05+

Category: Accessories
Price: $1000
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: S197
Location (State/Prov): CA
Item Condition: Used

Selling my Tein Flex Coilovers. Decided to sell these and go with stock until I can save up for Eibach R2s. These have been great with VERY noticeable improvement in handling. Ride quality is definitely harsher due to the stiffer springs and better dampers. Its a great set of coilovers if you want to be slammed or want something very sporty. I've loved them while I had them but I want something different.

I've had these on for maybe 10k miles. No shock leaks or decrease in damping power. I've had these checked out by TEIN USA located in Downey and they said the dampers were fine. Dampers are fully serviceable/repairing by TEIN.

Now on to some of the issues with these. The threads on the rear of the shock are not very good. It was tough for me to remove the nut. I had to use a hand clamp to remove the nut so the bottom threads are slightly damaged, as you can see on the picture. This area is not affected as the top bushing sits in that area. Besides that, there hasn't been a problem with the coilovers.

If you have any questions please let me know. I am selling these for $1,000 shipped. Retail on these are $2,000 not including the EDFC controller, motors, and spanner wrench.

-Front Strut assemblies (comes with Tein pillowball mount)
-Rear Shocks
-Rear Springs & Ride Height adjustment perches
-Adjustable front end links (came with the tein coilovers)
-Tein spanner wrenches (for adjusting spring preload and ride height)
-TEIN EDFC Controller & Motors/Harness

Steel Construction • Twin Tube internal construction • Ride Height adjustable via threaded body and spring seats • 16 way adjustable dampers, compression and rebound combined • Pillow ball upper mounts for increased steering feel • Upper camber adjustment on front for strut type vehicles • Larger piston diameter for strut type front and rear (22mm) • EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) compatible • Powder coated brackets with Teflon coated shock body for heavy duty rust prevention

If you want more information as to what the features are of the Tein Flex Coilovers, head over to their website. Ive included some of the basic information as to what the ride height can be and what the spring rates are.

Ride height Range:
Front: 0.94 - 2.86 inches
Rear: 2.09 - 3.15 inches

Spring Rates:
Front: 560 Lbs/In
Rear: 340 Lbs/In

You can see what they looked like on my car in my sig. That is with the ride height at max. So you can lower it a lot more.

your looking at $150 per shock. $75 to service the shock and $75 for a new rod.
