Vortech Supercharger Now Installed on 02 4.6 2V
My Vortech Supercharger arrived from CA last Friday. It was installed over the weekend and I just received it back today equipped with 275 Nitto 555 drag radials and complete Brembo rotors and calipers. The power of the Supercharged 4.6 2V is simply astonishing. In all honesty, it literally takes your breath away. What a rush! The first time I let it down, was on a 35 mph roll and the wheels were spinning! I let it down again at 50 mph and got a 3rd and 4th gear bark. The thing is, I am driving a slowmatic. From a standing start only 1/4 peddle was used to avoid wheel spin until I gradually let it down all the way. I have to learn to drive my Stang all over again as it is a totally different car. These are the numbers recorded on my GTECH: 0-60 4.32. 1/4 mile: 12.33 at 110.28 mph. RWHP: 381. This rwhp figure is only 3 off Mustang Magic's dyno figures of 384 So, the GTECH is right on line. Let me tell you, prior to the supercharger, I was running 267 rwhp on the dyno. So the Vortech, equipped with 42lb injectors, Pro M mass air meter large in tank fuel pump and complete all-out dyno tune punched out a significant gain of 117 rwhp gain. Other bolt on include a full exhaust system: BBK Shorties, Magna flow Catted Hi Flow X pipe, Mac Cats with 3.5" tips, C&L inlet pipe w/85mm Mass Air, C&L Plenum w/75mm BBK TB, Pulleys and 3:73's. The inlet pipe and pulleys came off for the Vortech. My Stang has about 12,000 mph on it. So I am hoping the 9lbs of Boost doesn't adversely affect the life of the engine. With stock internals, I am a little worried about throwing a rod or burning a piston prematurely. But I had to go for this as it is in my blood. They say supercharging is like nitrous but all the time. I just hope I don't regret pushing this little 4.6 to it's outer limits. After all, it is only a small block. Oh, and I took you guys advise on the Amsoil 0-30. Do I still have to change this oil every 3500 miles as I did the Mobil I?

No, you can go well over 3,500 miles.
Although, with a blower and your already pushing the max PSI for a stock 2V I'd suggest changing it rather often looking for internals coming apart.

Sounds like you have a sweet setup.... Mine keeps a smile on my face all the time. I have a 99Gt with a Paxton Novi 2000. I am running 10 lbs of boost on a stock 83,000 mile motor. I put on a 70mm throttle body and TF plenium. When I dynoed mine it had 361 hp at the wheels and was running hot then due to a stuck thermostat and with the stock exhaust. I have now added a Magnaflow off road X pipe. Hope to get the rest of the exhaust soon (back half) and put in some 3:73 gears in the back. Mine is a 5 speed and a blast to drive.

Personally, I'd sitll change the oil every 3500 miles, I don't care what kind of claims are made, it can't be good for the engine.
Also, you're exploring the world of high torque engine+torque convertors.
