Default Is this a problem?

I bought my mustang with changed pipes, im not sure what make. I noticed that the pipes give off a strong gas smell. . . is this normal?

I have a Hi Flow H Pipe with 2 chamber Flows. My parents also notice a gassy smell coming from my car and are worried that i will get carbon monoxide poisoning or something. Seems to me that this smell is pretty common in our mustangs, but only emmissions will tell.

well if u have no cats or they are hollowed out you will get a strong gas smell.
if you do have cats and are getiing a strong smell than you are running rich.
need a tune up. plugs wires oil all that mess.
