RE: for those with packs
Of course...
If you want LT's down the line you'll need a new X-pipe (unless you get an SLP X-pipe to begin with) So it'd be best to make a decision now. The X-pipe will bolt right up to shorties or your stock mainfolds.

shoot i don't even know, would you guys recommend just getting the headers too then, i hear LT's are hard to work with tho? some guy that works at a ford dealership im talkin to on aim right now is saying that borla is far better then magnapacks. hes knows some about cars but i don't think as much as some of you guys. i love both the magnapack and borla sound so i don't think it'd matter which one i got as far as sound, but i do value the quality and which ever is better i'd probably take.

RE: for those with packs
It's hard to beat maganflow/pack quality.... All SS, perfect fitment, all hardware included, what else could you want?
Borla is also A LOT more expensive for similar quality, if not a tad bit better. LT's are botach to deal with (apparently) but you could go w/ an SLP X-pipe. I believe it's modular so it can be used w/ LT's or st's/manifolds...

lol yea he was tryin to tell me that if i got borla i'd have at least 20 more HP, i was like whos this guy lol... So stock headers with a SLP x-pipe and some magnapacks would be sick? is the SLP x-pipe a true x-pipe? lol oh yea and he said flowmasters were better then packs and borla's were a little better then flows LOL.

RE: for those with packs
Packs are way deeper than Flowmasters, I don't know where people get the idea that they aren't.
Unless you go with a off-road midpipe, they don't have the glasspack raspyness. They have the glasspack sound without the clap & pop, until you are downshifting, they pop and bang like you wouldn't believe.
My vote is for Packs!!

LOL your buddy is a little mixed up I'm afraid...Flowmasters flow the worst out of all those you mentioned. They defnitely don't flow better than Magnaflow, or any other straight-thru design muffler for that matter. They do sound pretty damn good though, so maybe that's what he's referring to. For pure sound quality, IMO you can't beat Flows on a Mustang. They are also the cheapest, but they are aluminized steel, not SS.
