The engine build has began!
I messed my engine up about a month ago at the track when my tires broke loose and the rpms went over 7000. I got the engine out and tore down last week. It had a bent intake valve on cylinder #5. I know I posted this in the 4.6 section but there is more "wheel and tire" questions in there than anything so I figure there's not too many gear heads in there. Anyway, I can't figure out what caused the valve to bend. The piston and valved look good. It did get very hot in there though because the spark plug was completely melted but the valve didn't have the traditional damage that a burnt valve usually has. I've got a whole different setup for it now though that's going in right now with the total parts list being.
Procharger P-1SC with 12 lb pulley
BBK longtube headers
BBK off road X pipe
Dynomax ultra flo bullet mufflers
Diamond 15cc dish forged pistons
mahle H-beam rods
Patriot performance stage 2 heads
VT stage 2 blower cams
ARP studs and nuts
Nitrous Express 75 shot wet
2 quart fuel cell ( for nitrous only)
low pressure fuel pump and regulator (for nitrous only)
tubular k-member
spec stage 2+ clutch kit
steeda triax shifter
adjustable upper control arms
tubular lower control arms
4.30 gears
moser axles
nos window switch
I want to sell the stock PI heads and cams and the stock rods and pistons. One of the heads needs that one bent valve replaced but other than that it's good.

RE: The engine build has began!
I figured that it must have went lean due to the high rpms. It was only over reved for a split second but maybe that was enough to melt the plug and nothing else. I dunno either for sure though.

Why do you have a seperate fuel cell for the nitrous ?

Yea, he said he would send the money I ask for the car + money to cover shipping. What's kinda weird though is that I told him the pictures he saw were not right. I've changed the looks of the car alot and he didn't seem to care at all. He didn't even ask about the condition of it or anything. All he cared about was that it didn't get scrached during shipping. The only info I give him was my address and phone #. It just doesn't sound right you know. I know I wouldn't send someone 20,000 and say "go ahead and cash the check and just send me the car in two months or so". I really don't look for anything to show up.

Is he sending a cashiers check? Dude, that is a scam. Search google or something for cashier check scams. You are about to get ripped off!!!!!!!
