window switch timing- whens your nitrous fire?
I just set up my nx wet kit with MSD window switch on my 04 gt.. When do you guys set your window switch to fire? i have mine set to fire at 2500 and cutout at 5500. im thinking maybe i should amp it up a bit since i dont feel im outta my powerband by then, and the car falls on its face after nitrous stops and it kinda screws up my shift. i did it so it wouldnt be spraying in case of a missed shift, that would be a good way to drop some internals, but i lift when shifting so it should be spraying anyway

i already have a o/r h and a 87 canned tune from SCT, next is 10.5's with nitto radials, 4.10's and u/d pulleys. i hope i can get into mid 12's.

i ouwldn't spray it over 5500, by the time your rpms hit 5500, and you react, and actually complete the shift you'll be out of your powerband... so 5500 is a good spot
i don't use a window switch.... i spray from the launch to the line.... no lifting all the way

u keep the pedal on the floor? i tried practicing that at lower rpms, i can not for the life of me grab third hard when im on the throttle, i dont know why. do u still hit the clutch or jsut straight powershift it?

powershift it... no lifting unless i miss
try this... on normal shifting/driving practice the 2-3 shift so missing doesn't have you bouncing off the limiter
instead of a full throttle powershift.... leave the gas wherever you were, and bang the 2-3 , you will soon start hitting it 99% of the time after the first week most likely
if you do it right, there should be no lag in between at all... just as fast as the 1-2 shift
then start on the pedal down hammering time

i tried the 2-3 powershifting this morning on my way to work, nailed it once pretty good, another time missed it, but no grind so i just clutched in and went to 4th. when i nailed it i was at about 3k, punched the throttle and at about 5500 went for third, tires chirped pretty good too, i was surprised since i have 20k on stock clutch, etc. i want to get it down pretty good before i hit the track and spray it, cause i really wanna get into 12's and dont think it'll happen shifting regularly and with 245's in the rear.
