Meth vs. Aftercooler / Intercooler

Meth vs. Aftercooler / Intercooler
I finally have my vortech on order, and am hoping to push my 04 GT daliy driver near the 400hp mark as safely as possible, as a blown motor would really put me in a bind. I'm considering all of the cooling options available, and I'm having a hard time deciding which way to go.
From everything I've read, either meth injection, an intercooler or aftercooler would all get the extra 50 horses or so over the non-cooled setup, but I don't know if one setup is safer / more stable than the other. Due to $ considerations, I'm leaning towards the snow performance kit... Can anyone tell me what, if anything, makes the intercooler / aftercooler route worth the extra grand?

AS for clevland kid i would go intercooled for safety and still have it set up conservative 390-410 rwhp and let it live untill you can afford to play ..i never expected my car to make the power it does with the V3 and i cant turn down the boost anymore or i would my car makes 491 @10.5 psi ..with 3.60 pulley if it had no Ic it would make 430ish ..and would be grenaded already !!! good luck ...check out thread straped on vortech v3

if its a race car, go with air/water. if its a street car, go with air/air. even tho a a/w setup as a heat exchanger, its not enough to keep the water cool after a long drive. but if its a track car, you can fill the tank with ice when you get to the track and have freezing water running though the intercooler.
as far as meth goes, its a great way to cool the air as well as add fuel and add octane. i ran a meth kit back when i was supercharged and picked up 50rwhp after i retuned for it. i plan to run a meth kit on this motor as well. i expect to put down 600rwhp+ as it sits and would like to see another 75 when the meth is spraying

Meth is not a band-aid it is a very proven chemical intercooling method. Before I turned my meth system on and tuned for it I only made 550ish hp and my IAT was 230* running 18lbs of boost and 93 octane. Same day and dyno with meth I made 661hp and my IAT was 85*.
It does not just throw fuel into the engine it cools the intake air charge and increases the octane level of your fuel. Meth is a fuel but during tuning you pull fuel out while meth is sprayed.
If tuned and installed correctly meth is extremely safe. If tuned by a retard that does't tune off the iat sensor then you will blow you engine if the pump fails but if done right your IAT sensor will tell your computer that meth is not spraying and will cut timing and add fuel.
