Call me crazy, but I think the 2V 4.6 liters sound better with exhaust than the 3V motors sound with exhaust.

And I'm a 2010 owner. (I DO miss my '04 GT by the way)

Most people would agree with you lol. My bro has a 06 gt, and has went through 9 exhaust combos, trying to get that 2 valve sound.

It has a lot to due with the 3 valve motor, and the placement of the mufflers.

They both sound nice IMO but if i had to pick which one i liked more i would for sure go 99-04

i love the sound of my 04 gt. Iv heard some good 05+ but i didnt like them as much as mine. could be that i was comparing them to my car though...

I own an 06 gt now, i used to have an 01 mustang. i think the 99 - 04's sound way better than the 3 valves. Ford said they put so much work into the exhaust for these cars at first and they still sound like sht, imo. I am running an o/r h and stingers. If I had my perfect exhaust it would be from 99 - 04 o/r prochamber with flowmaster 40's. These 3v's suck.

Prochamber and flows does sound awesome on a 2 valve.
