blow off valve help
hi every one
i just go a procharged 1999 gt mustang
it has a p1sc and made 489 hp and 486 tq on dynomite
(9 psi 95 octane0)
but recently boost reduce to 7 psi, my frind checked it and said its a problem with the paybass valve , i have 2 questions :
1) WHAT might couse such a problem in general?
2) is it possible to change the original paybass valve to blow off valve ? what are pros and cons ? is there any changes sould be done to the unit ? do i need to tune my care for such change?
thank you

if the diaphram in the bypass valve tore it may not be sealing causing the valve to leak boost pressure.
you dont want to change to a blow off unless your running a blow through maf. if your using a draw through maf and you vent boost pressure to the atmosphere via a bov, your car will go pig rich everytime the valve opens. the reason for this is because your dumping metered air out of the system
have you checked to see if your belt is just slipping? if the belt as stretched (which they do over time) they will slip. and once they begin to slip, they glaze over making them slip even more. check under the hood for black dust, this is a sign of belt slip
