raw fuel??
I was driving my car today, and noticed for the first time a very raw fuel smell, so strong that it burned my eyes. My gf noticed it too. I checked to see if fuel came out of that stupid quick fuel spout, and no, checked under car for exhaust leak, and nothing, checked under hood, and cant see anything wrong, and no code was thrown. Has this happened to anyone else? I checked to see if mufflers had leak or came loose, and nothing, Im confused, and upset with how much problems im having with this car already...

Well I have a different year car and a supercharger, but I noticed a strong fuel smell especially when I started it after sitting in the sun for a while after I just drove it and when I put on my fan pulling air from the outside near the hood. I looked everywhere for leaks. I heard somewhere that they had found one of their spark plugs were loose and were noticing a fuel smell.
So I went to check it out as I was running out of options. I get into the plugs and notice that the spark plug boots smell like fuel and were full of gunk, which shouldn't be because the plugs should seal the chamber and the boots should seal the outside world. Everyone of my plug boots were like this. When I took out the plugs they weren't even hand tight. So I reinstalled them with some never sieze where the TSB says to place it and then tightened them. I also cleaned off the spark plug boots. No more fuel smell.
