Default 2012 V6 Custom Exhaust

Last week went to a local exhaust shop. Had them cut the stock exhaust tips and use them on two flowmaster 40 series mufflers. Also, had them cut the stock mufflers after the flange and to use the stock exhaust hangers to keep them bolt on/off.

All work and parts was $260.

They sound amazing through the entire RPM range. Little drone in 6th gear cruzing at 70-75mph. Fixed most of that by shoving a blanket where the spare tire would be

I have been trying to get a decent video/sound clip but my droid's mic does not do it justice.

I'm gonna try and get my laptop setup with my high def mic for a start up and stand still rev video clip but the best sound is in cabin on the road.

Also the volume on the mufflers (IMO) is just right for the car, not loud but noticeable. The closest volume bolt on kit I have compared in person is a 2011 with Borla S-Type. Tone was very different though.

The 40 series doesn't seem nearly as tinny sounding as the flowmaster bolt on, but again, haven't heard it in person.

The shop did an amazing job and without looking underneath the car you would never know it wasn't stock (well... if you were deaf lol)

Car has a very unique sound and even with this budget setup... I don't think I turned the stereo on once for atleast a week.

I'll get a picture up atleast by this afternoon.

The S-Type sounds great, better than the atak (IMO). Very nice smooth tone all the way through the RPMs with almost zero drone. Looks good to!

I just can't personally justify $650 on just some bolt on mufflers.

If you have the cash, I recommend it. But im personally gonna but the money I saved with my setup towards an SCT tuner and intake.
