Mufflers
hey guys, I was wondering what kind of mufflers y'all were running. I'm trying to get mine a little louder with the upcoming setup.
all I've ever ran is flowmasters, and don't really know what else out there is a good brand.

When it comes to exhaust and loudness it really all depends on how loud you want it.
I have flowmasters also the super 44s in my case , but flowmaster makes a lot of different sounding exhaust. Some are way louder than others.
Ive heard some slp loudmouths and they are pretty loud. Before I put the tail pipes on my 94 I had the super44s dumped at the axle and this is extremely loud. I have a 2 1/2" setup as well . The guy up the street has the exact same setup as me except he is running 3" and is much louder than mine. Your best bet is to watch some youtube exhaust clips of various exhaust setups, there is no shortage of em on youtube.

I run Moroso spiral flows 3in on the turbo car they are quiet and give a deep sound. But the turbo helps hush them down. I have Magnaflows on the 99 Cobra and I hate them. they sound like SLPs and I cant stand the way they sound but they were on there when I got it and it is a stainless system so I will leave it for now.

i have magnaflow magnapacks on my SN95 and its LOUD inside the car with cats. my New Edge has flowmasters and no cat, its a raspier sound and not as loud inside the car when going down the road.
the straight through pipe is the way to go IMO. I always favored zero restriction. the stock exhaust manifold will keep your back pressure in check.
best sound IMO is O/R xpipe and SLP mufflers. its loud and mean. but, honestly after 8 years of exhaust on a mustang you get tired of it being loud inside your car when going 55+ mph
