Ive had my AFRs for a while now and thinking I need new headers. The headers I have now are equal length shortys 1 5/8. The thing is the exhaust ports on the heads are bigger than the headers. I was looking at the BBK long tube 1 3/4 from Jegs. Would these headers be to much and make my times slower? Or would the shortys add a good amount of restriction?
What headers are others using with AFR 185s?

Long tubes would increase your hp and tq over the shorties. 1 5/8" would make more torque, while the 1 3/4" would make more power. So the 1 5/8" would be better for the street, and 1 3/4" would be better for the track. Nice time and mph!
