Default What type of exhaust on a 98 GT would sound sick ?

I'm thinking about getting another exhaust setup, what kind of exhaust setup would sound good, loud, and drown out rice when they try to rev their engines ? I was thinking about something from SLP, but I'm not sure, I keep hearing Magnaflow and Flowmaster. What should I go with ?

On a 98 I would go with an off-road X pipe for starters and either SLP or Flowmaster mufflers. The mufflers are really your choice but if you want loud you really need an off-road X or H pipe. I have an H on my 94, but I've heard that the X sounds better on the 4.6.

I keep hearing about magnapacks, and SLP loudmouth mufflers, which one makes a more raw deep sound ? I want something that will sound deep as hell at idle and shake windows at WOT.

loudmouth 1s are as loud as packs and deeper than packs and LM2s. you're not going to get something that sends like sex at idle and WOT. unless you can get an off road X. the H will give it a louder and deeper tone, the X will make it louder and deeper than stock, but sound wonderful at WOT.

so the offroad X would be the key, and loudmouth 1s would be the setup to get, the only problem with getting an offroad x pipe is that in my state, they hook up computers to our cars to inspect it, so if my check engine light is on of there is something keeping it from coming on, it will set off a red flag.

don't get the off road X with loudmouth 1s. it's LOUD. it'll kill your ears and you'd probably get sick of it quick. get the 2s with that X.
