need some info guys
Hey guys, my cousin has an 09 GT and came to me for info on supercharging it.. come to find out, it is bone stock! asked him why he wanted to super charge it, and he said he just wanted more power. Now i know that there are a number of things he can do/ has to do befor he even thinks of a super charger, just wanted to see what you guys were thinking / get ideas.
I suggested new full exhaust, (Headers back) intake, injectors, cam and fuel pump... i figured those could be used on a daily car, with little to no maintnace, with a little power increase, are there anything else that he should look into??? is there a list that i cant find on the site that shows how to get the most power out of your super charger when he plans to go that route? IE: ported polished heads ect...thanks for the help guys!

im sure he will.. but im trying to give him ideas of what can be done in to split the cost up...instead of dropping 5-10K to supercharge it and get everything put on at once.. maybe do the exhaust first,, ect actually i think the exhaust is the only thing u can do without having to re-tune it..

Build the motor, take it from me, I have a supercharged car now n if I hadn't built the motor I wldve been severely dissatisfied, my car cld only handle 430hp or so cuz the bottom end was too weak. He could do heads n cams, intake and exhaust, have it tuned, be less than then the cost of the supercharger an have awesome power an responsiveness all the time and not just in boost. If he does decide to go s/c anyway then go with whipple an add a meth kit for safe measure. But that will put him to the limit of his bottom end so I wldnt expect it to last a long long time like that. Just my 2 cents. Lol

when you say thats all your motor could handle. do you mean thats all you felt comfortable with putting into your motor? or thats the point your motor self destructed over time. i appreciate all the help guys!

Am foxtrot, yea my 2003 gt's bottom end was only raged up to 430 rwhp before the integrity of the internals was questionable. I think the 09's were a little more but not by much. 450 or so. I put forged internals in mine n better cams.
