Default Trunk release button kits

Hello everyone. Ive been putting together a little trunk release button kit using a Ford OEM switch. It will go in the location that it would be if Ford still used them. I'm only asking $25 shipped. It will include the OEM switch, soldered on wires. One wire will have the lug for the ground. And the other wire will be left open. But there will be wire ties and a clamp connector w/ male connector in a bag. And detailed instructions w/ pictures that I made up and will be emailed PDF file. Heres a pic, don't mind the rub mark. Thats my bad from the drill lol. Also, the wires are a little sloppy in the 2nd pic. I only taped those wires on so I could take a picture for someone. PM me if interested. I am taking orders and I only order 5 switches at a time. Paypal preferred. Thanks for taking the time to check it out.

So will your instructions include the wiring diagram that shows what wire or fuse we need to splice into? How hard is it to wire?

It sure will. I email a PDF file that I made. Has pictures and text. Its an easy find. 2 wire install as you can tell by the picture. Easier than you think it is. Im ordering more switches tomorrow. So if you want in, todays the day. Thanks

Hi,

Does the trunk pop operate with the ignition off? If so is it disabled when the car is running, so as not to inadvertently open the trunk while driving?

Thanks,

Dave T.

Its set up just like the older gen mustangs. It goes on the inside of the glove box. It sends a ground to the signal wire which pops the trunk. Thats all. Ignition off. The only way for it to be popped while driving is if you open the glove box and push the button. Your knee will not set it off if it bumps the glove box door

Thanks for the clarification, Brandon. I looked behind my glovebox and there is a metal brace to the left of the door. Do you have to drill through the brace to install your kit? I wanted to install a glovebox light in about the same location as your switch kit, but I couldn't find a spot with enough clearance.
