its a donation that goes to chp officers families who got hurt in their job. and basically with that 1800 dollar donation you, get this plate frame. so when u do get pulled over, cops know what it is, and they tend to let you off with a warning. even if you are speeding. look it up at the ferrari forums and lambo forums, you'll see its no bs.
I don't mean to rain on your parade but i'd hate to see someone get in trouble actually trying to use that as an excuse for getting out of a ticket buuuuuuuuuttttttt WHEN YOU MAKE THE DONATION TO THE CHP TO BE A MEMBER OF THE 11-99 FOUNDATION YOU DON'T ONLY GET A LICENSE PLATE, YOU ALSO GET A MEMBERSHIP CARD WITH YOUR NAME ON IT AND THATS WHAT GETS YOU OUT OF THE TICKET IF THE COP IS COOL
i mean, yea. me having the badge under my name does help, but my friend just has the plate frame and he's gotten out of a good amount of tickets also.
