I must be missing something here...

Exactly what is in this "kit" for a rear alignment? Or better, what are they telling you is in this kit?

Some background info might also help; like is your rear suspension stock or have you modified it, etc.

I have to say I'm feeling a bit like crescent_wrench on this one. You may have been to that shop many times, and they may have happily taken your money, but this doesn't mean they're doing right by you. I'm not liking this...

Best,
-j

So I had them call the ford house to verify.
Ford house guy said yes the GT's came with solid rear axle.

Turns out the kit was only for the cars with IRS.

They said they were able to align it with just the "camber" or whatever.
Sound right to yall?

Glad you didn't need "casters". I bet they'd have run over to Home Depot and bought those cheap ones with the plastic wheels and not the good, rubber ones.

Did you ask them to check your muffler bearings?

Not funny.

The camber is adjusted to correct alignment correct?
That is how they said they did it.

Camber and caster are 2 of the parameters that are checked and adjusted as necessary. Sorry for the sarcasm. It goes with my religion...

As long as they knew not to torque down the 710 cap too much you'll be good to go.

If their computer shows that car with IRS then all the specs are WRONG no reason to argue any further go someplace else.

Well here is what they did. Since the computer showed IRS and they looked under the car to find a solid axle, they used the specs in the computer for the 2006 Mustang Coupe.

I figured out why they showed IRS too. They had 2006 Ford GT put in...not 2006 Ford MUSTANG GT.

So like I said, they did it according to the 2006 Mustang Coupe.
What I am wondering is this. If there ARE two different entries for the Mustang, (Mustang GT, and the V6 which is called coupe), does that mean they did my alignment wrong?

I know the v6 and the GT both have solid axle.... but isn't the Mustang GT's suspension different than the V6 in some ways? I would think the GT had better suspension than the v6.
Or are they EXACLTY same?

If they are different in some ways, such as the GT having a sport tuned suspension or something... would'nt that mean that the adjustments they did would be WRONG?

Or is the process, equipment, and specs for alignment of the 2006 Mustang GT and the 2006 Mustang V6 the same?

I really need some help and verification on this.
Thanks
