Question Lowering your stang question...

... what is the concenus of the best bang for your buck lowering springs? Can you get away w/ just lowering the rear or is that a big no no? Is there anything else you "must" do if you put lowering springs on. What am I looking at $$$ wise?

more than likely you are going to need an adjustable panhard bar and you can use the Roush rear lowering springs to give it more of that level look............but an adjustable panhard bar is a must.

There are quite a few who run just the Roush rears including myself. After installing them an adjustable panhard was needed (mainly for cosmetic purposes) as the axle shifted about 3/4in towards the drivers side.

You can run them with the stock shocks/struts, but that will additional stress and they will more than likely wear out quicker.

For a point of reference, here's how mine looks with just the rears installed. Total drop was just shy of 1 in.

So far it looks like my list needs to be,
1. adj panhard bar
2. struts and shocks
3. lowering springs...looks like Roush is the popular choice so far

Doogie65 I see by the pic that it equaled out the wheel to fender gap

springs,ALIGNMENT, Camber bolts, those three are a for sure no matter what! you can go awhile with out a panhard bar ive been lowered for months and just ordered my adj panhard itll be here next monday! but Stuff that can wait would be the shocks and struts and the panhard. Get a alignment or your front tires will be gone in 10k miles i didnt and trust me just get it aligned! Camber bolts are $20 and give you +2 deg. and -2 deg of camber! Shope the classifieds on forums if your on a budget i got my springs for $130 shipped ! Just be on the look out!

doggie65 did the clearance on the bottom of your front bumper go up a little after your rear spring change or stay the same?

Sorry, but did not even think to make that measurement before and after the install. But with the minimal drop of the Roush's, I doubt there would be much change to the front. I do still need to be very careful with the chin spoiler installed and learned the hard way that it still sits lower than most parking curbs
