Default 08 SGT Muffler Rattle

Does anyone with an SGT have the same quality control problem as mine? My driver's side rear hangar on the muffler rubs on the frame after the exhaust pipe heats up and expands. When it cools, no noise but after a couple of laps around the block, every bump causes it to knock against the rear bumper frame.Evidently when they installed the X-pipe and mufflers, they did not fit the pipes or the muffler correctly.

I will need to trim off about 3/8" of the muffler's support shaft that slides through the rubber hangar grommet. I did not expect to have such an issue on a Shelby, but...

Maybe I'll wait and let Shelby do it when I ship the car back to have the Whipple SC installed...

The 07's had the same issue,Minor but annoying!Take it to the Stealership and have it fixed or if you don't trust the techs to not be playing cannonball run in your car try to adjust the pipes yourself. There is a lot of room for movement under there,Be cautious though as it is easy to loosen everything up and get it way out of whack!

Why would you pay someone to install a Whipple on your car that can't install a muffler properly?

And do you know that Shelby installed it wrong? It is just as probable that the axle-back may have vibrated backward. This happens to be a re-occurringissue for those axle-backs that use flat-sleeveclamps rather than U-clamps. But I have also seen it happen with U-clamps as well. It's certainly possible the Shelby install was the root-cause but highly improbable.
