Default Got my Ford parts today! Dyno tomorrow.

Hey guys thanks for the advise on the FR1 power upgrade package. I chose FRPP CAI & exhaust with the procal tunner. Just got through registering for the tunner at Ford racing.
They say I will have it in 5 days. You think they could do better than that.

I am going in the morning for a base line dyno, just curious what it will be from the factory.
I have 2,000 miles on it in the first month. Don't know why I need more power, but I going to get it.

After Ford installs the parts next week i'm going back to the dyno and have a custom tune with a SCT programer and see what that adds. Maybe my guy will see how much the Ford stuff added over stock. Then I will let you know what his does over that. I will post my numbers when I find out somthing next week.

The new ford pipes look great! I want to stay up and install them tonight. I guess I will wait and let Ford make $250 and have all the fun.

The results of the bone stock were disappointing. Humidity was 44%, 85 degrees. I had been running on the interstate at about 80 mph when i got there. Dude said the the car would have done better numbers if the air was better and the car had time to cool down. But here they are: 393 rwhp, 402 rwt. I was expecting about 425 rwhp anyway.
We will see after the FRPP go in next week. And then i'm going to change from the ProCal tuner to the SCT X3 and use DynoSpeed's tune.

Thanks for the update. I'm anxious to see the difference between the pro cal and stock. I ran my dyno at 90deg/29% humidity and my guy said if it was drier my numbers would have been 5-10 hp better. I guess these cars are pretty sensitive to heat-soak and humidity. With the custom tune you should gain 100hp easily.

Heat soak is the term he used. The numbers are what they are. He sad we could take out the air filter and do about 10 hp better but why. I just want to know the facts. you hear alot of numbers thrown around in the magazines. I want true driving numbers not the best of 5 or 10 runs on a dyno in ideal conditions. Ford says 40 hp if you put there FR1 Svt upgrade on for $1350. Add $250 to have it installed at the dealer so you can try to keep your warranty. You know as soon as something bad goes wrong they will say it was abuse on your part. Now add $800 for the custom tune and SCT programer and you have tied up $2400 for maybe 90 - 100 hp. Hell im 50 and have gone crazy, so my wife says. But it is all worth it!!! Nothing gets the old heart going like a new car, to say nothing about a GT 500. The 50 grand, $3.80 per gallon, insurance. Might be the best buy i have ever made!!! I closing don't you just smile went you come up on a Toyota Prius Hybird. I thank them save more gas for me, I need it!! Not very "Green" am I?

Yea heat soak will zap hp quick. I see your point about keeping the warranty, but like you say, they can always blame a failure on the extra power. I invested $700 on a SCT/JLT package and another $150 on a dyno. For that I got almost 500 rwhp and I keep the factory warranty because it goes back to stock whenever I go to service.

Don't feel bad..I'm 54 and still crazy. This is my 3rd mid-life crisis! Leave green for the tree-huggers. I want a large displacement, carbon burning, screaming V8.

Well I'm 26 and you would have thought the world had come to an end when i told her i was going to buy one. She completly hated the thought of dumping that much cash on a car.
