Default Current prices on used gt500 07~09?

I'm looking to purchase a used one this summer and researching the prices online and comparing them to local deals, seems like there is a big discrepancy.

Places like edmunds.com and kbb and similar sites say to expect to pay around $27k from a dealer for an outstanding GT500 with about 10k miles on it. But all I see are in the avg. of $32k+ area.

I know they are rare in the sense that it's produces in limited numbers but they are now being produced every year

Hopefully with gas prices going up the prices of gas guzzlers will go lower but still not sure what is a good deal on one of these.

These cars were more than $50,000 new, and they are the closest thing to a supercar that you can get anywhere near. Have you ever driven one ? I personally think that they're underpriced at the prices you are looking at. 500 horses and 450 ft lbs will leave anything else in the dust !

A good deal is low $30's with low miles. The good news is that alot of people purchased these cars for weekend warriors, and didn't use them as daily drivers, so you can find many that have low (<20k miles). Most people compare it to buying a new GT. You are looking to get a superior GT500 for less than what a new GT goes for. The GT500's hold their value pretty well. If you can find one with low miles in the low $30's you're in good shape. Mine was an 09 with 10k miles listed at $39,900. I got them down to $33,900, which I felt was reasonable. If you test drive one, you'll most likely buy it. You can spend a relatively small amount of money on them and make them a force to be reckoned with! This was your first post, so we will probably not see you very much, but good luck with the search!

The GT500's hold their value pretty well.

?? Not so much for my 2 cents worth ! Like you said, a lot of guys bought the 500s as third cars and are looking to get out of them, and are doing so at a lot less than what I think they are "worth".

They are bad *** rides but try buying any other low mileage, kick @$$ cars for that far below what they paid for them.

My bet is that you couldn't pick up a Porshe, 'Vette, or any other psuedo-super car for anywhere near what you can get a used GT500 for.

'Course, you'd have to fly and pick them up and drive them back, but the prices that these cars are going for is a steal in my book.

No doubt I think they are awesome cars, thats why I want one! lol

Im sure they are worth every penny of it. I'm just trying to see how much is considered a "good" price.

Just being a smart buyer and researching online before I bite the bullet on one.

02 Sys, go for it, get the best price you can, and join the Shelby GT500 Club ! With the prices on-line, you can get a low mileage, "GT Five-Hundy" $32,500. Do it up !
