here's the shelby
mine has gone 18k miles and the shelby has gone 12k miles.
what are the total real differences between a gt and a shelby apart from the supercharger?
can anyone list all the differences?
here's the shelby for sale

As far as difference....it's little bit of everything...engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, body, interior ....but most of all, it's relatively cheap to make more power, because the GT500 is ready for it.
I mean, just changing the supercharger pulley to a 2.59 or 2.6, adding an auxillary pulley, swapping to a JLT CAI and adding a tune will completely change that car!

I think thats a pretty decent deal. A shelby will still depreciate, its not that rare of a car but at a slower rate than your GT will. If you're looking for an all around better car like 05 said, then I'd do it. Power is easy to get out of those for relatively cheap.

Your 2005 GT & 12K actually does sound like a pretty good deal.
The GT500's are going for low to mid $30K's right now....let's say that GT500 is selling for $33K, subtract $12K from that and your getting $21K for your car...IMO, that's definitely more than you'd get if you were selling it out right, or trading it in.
You just need to make sure to go and check out the GT500 really close. You know what you have with the GT. Also check to see if the GT500 has had any issues with the clutch, or see if it's been replaced. There was an issue with GT500's built up to Sept 2009...clutch would go out and need to be replaced. No big deal, but you need to check.
