Default Custom RearSeatDelete install

Got the idea from here on the "great bank windows in cyberspace" on Friday, and finished today. Total cost about $100.00. Total labor (too much to add up, probably 15 hours) Made of 5/8 plywood so no problem with holding weight. Back comes out and gives stock access to trunk and bench is the same level as trunk too. Have a nice little space under bench for future stereo amps to drive subwoofers.

I didn't weigh it, but figure probably about 12 pounds total, I guess. It is lighter than the back seat and the frame I removed. The back is made from two 3/8" sheets of plywood (glued together to form the arch at top) supported by 3 steel bars that go down through the seat section. The seat is 5/8" plywood and a 2x4 support side to side. quite simple design, but VERY maticulously constructed so no exposed screws to see and back can be removed in 2 minutes to put my clubs into trunk and pass into the back of car. I guess this is kinda the looooooong answer, but I am quite proud of myself [sm=happy046.gif][sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smokin.gif]

TY, actually......two. I think that would be a great spot, but would ruin the pass-through space from the trunk. I am going to put a pair of 10"s or maybe 12"s molded into the rear quarter panel (behind taillights). Note: the color of the carpet is quite close to the color of the car, but pic doesn't reflect it very well.

Just got back from a drive up HWY 1 toward Fort Bragg, and DAMN it is nice to drive the backroads

peace all.

it actually wont hit as hard as if you have them in the trunk. the subs will hit harder and sound better if you keep them in the trunk. It is because it is like the subs are in a box inside a box and then gonin into the cabin.

Wow Jaz....that looks really clean! No unnecessary lines, tight fit and clean finish. Looks like time well spent.....plenty of reason to be proud.

And you made it function-friendly to one of the most important things.....your sticks! Some people throw their battery back there for better weight transfer.....but there's really no substitute for a set of MP-60's, a few woods, golf bag and golf ***** to make the back end hook up better[8D].
