Hi I'am new here, great site, I have a quick questain I'am looking into buying a saleen mustang supercharge, theirs 2 cars I like one is a 2000 saleen supercharge with speedster package and the other one is a 2001 saleen supercharge both convertible and both have only 5300 miles. Is their any major diffrence between the 2 cars, because I don't now which one to buy, both are the same price, same color black, help out thanks
There were few changes in the 00 to 01 Saleen models. One change was in 01 ford went to the Tremec tranny, vs the Borg warner. The 00 won't have the better tremec, the 01 might. Also the hp rating went from 350 to 365 in 01, this was achieved by a new bypass valve in the blower (it is an Eaton M90 unit, or a series 2 as Saleen called it) for a more efficient flow of boost vs. the 00. I'd go for the 01.

any difference in the bypass valve for 04sc saleens?
The whole blower is different, so yes. As of 03, Saleen went to twin screw blowers vs. the less efficient roots blowers used in 00-02 in the S281sc's. The screw units are considerably more thermally efficient over the roots blower, -(the roots blower used was an Eaton M90 unit, which Saleen called their series 2 blower, the blower used now is a Lysholm unit, Saleen calls it their series 4) The screw blowers that Saleen used now are excellent products. The S281sc uses the smaller series 4 screw, and the S281E used a bigger screw blower capable of big boost #'s.
