RE: 295/40/20 tire on rear 10" Saleen rims?
Not sure what you mean 281 E, butif you mean difference between 275and 295 in section width, in pure numbers it's 20mm wider (not mounted) or about 0.8 inch.
Not much, I know (if you mean the difference is nothing to worry about?),but it would fill the 10" rear rims slightly better than the stock 275's do.
Anyone with the wheel upgrade on 05+ Saleens, can just compare the front and rear closely and see that the rear tires don't quite "fill" the wider 10 rim. The reason Saleen “only” put 275/40 on the rear I'd guess, is because there is really no other option to match the 275/35 on the front. All available alternatives are either too wide (imo), or too low or high sidewall…

p295/35/20
Just trying to make it quick (dont like email) Dont do 40, do 295.35.20...40 much too tall, although 35 will still be a little taller it will fit and look great.
I happen to have them on my 2005 screamin yellow extreme.
ps forget the 40 bull****, that was just something saleen did at the time.
I think most will agree it usually goes 3 steps up, example
255 to 285 265 to 295 etc..
But if you keep the front 275 and put 295 on rear...no harm
I would have put 265 35 front 295 35 rear but I only needed rear tires for now...bet you can figure out why.(just over 600 hourse)
pss Maybe try 305 35...but whatever you do, get 40 OUT OF YOUR HEAD..
I have seen alot of great replys, but I gauratee mine is dead on...GM KILLER

I just installed 305/35/20 nitto drag radials. They are pretty much the same height, much fuller looking and better riding. That is my suggestion for you. My Saleen is an SC car in the same Satin Silver as yours.

It's coming along pretty good. I have it almost to my standards. I do miss the power my other one had though! Not sure if I can hold out on the mods. LOL You going to Epping in August? It would be nice to finally meet.

Yeah, this lack of power thing needs to be addressed, lol. I am really thinking about getting a single turbo kit for this thing. What is in Epping in August?
