Default Alignment on an 04 SC and hitting rev limiter

Hey Guys/ Gals, I just took a blast in my 04 vert and 2 things. The front end has a little shakey thing going on at about 55-65 mph like it's out of balance a little. Where would be the best place to get that looked at? I do not have a Saleen Dealership near me at all. Would you take one of these cars toan NTB or another chain tire place to have them look at a new balance and alignment? I don't want a whole bunch of weights on the inside of my rims and I don't want them to get scratched. Any suggestions here?

Second thing when I get into it say as I down shift from 4th to 3rd or even 3rd to second at differing speeds say35-45 mph I guess to jump past someone I am passing the car seems tohit the rev limitier at like 6500 or 7000 rpms. I think that is where I am at, I am not using the tach but more the sound of the motor and don't feel I am over extending it. The car losses power for a second like its got bad gas then it picks up and goes. I run 93 octane in it. Could that be the belt slipping as I am building boost or could it be that I still have the Weak *** Saleen stock tune that everyone talks about.
Could the traction control also be somehting to look at on this? Never had that on my Fox Saleen so not really sure how to use that if at all.

Well thanks for the feedback.. BTW I have had the car since last July but have only put 700 miles on it and very rarely have I gotten into it so to speak so I am learning alot about its handling and driving capabilities.

Peace.

How many miles are on it? How hard do you treat it? If your hitting rev limiter and then catchingsounds like your clutch maybe slipping.......

Hey 0469,
5300 miles and not beating on it, I don't think. I very rarely bring it up to boost level where I am getting on it, I am just doing normal driving with it. When I do/havegotten on it, it seems to bog down somewhat like I am running bad gas but then it picks up, or like I posetdabove it just feels like I hit the rev limiter on it and its getting bad spark and runs crappy for a few seconds then it picks up ok. . I am wondering if a good tune will clear some of this up. I have had the car for9 months but have only put on 700 miles I guesson it so I am not used to it as of yet since I dont drive it that often.
Make sense?

I would suggest looking at the tach so you can be sure of what rpms you are hitting and if in fact you are hitting the limiter. I also think its one of those things that we would have to feel first hand to give any advice, but the only things I can think of you have already stated. But try looking at the tach next time you get on it and keep us updated

If you are hitting these RPMs, you are essentially past the gear's optimal HP production point (whether it be downshifting scenario or straight-line acceleration). As long as your car builds boost and power consistently up to around 6000 - 6500, you shouldn't have any problems. I'm basicallyout of tach when your talking 7000andup RPMs[]. Just some thoughts....

I thought the 04's rev limiter was set at 6500? Could be th tune, but it could be a couple of other things. I would look for a reputable performance shop and let them diagnos it.

THE REV LIMITER ON A 04 S/C CAR IS 6200 RPM,S.AND ON A S/C CAR I REALLY WOULDN'T DOWNSHIFT IT.IT'S REALLY BAD FOR THE BLOWER.SO YOU ARE PROBRABLY HEARING THE BELT SLIP.
