Default Steering wheel shimmy

Hi
I am new to the site and have a quick question. Just bought a 06 281 3V with 5000 miles love the car but the steering wheelshimmys when driving at speeds of 40-80 Mph and it's driving me crazy. You would think that a car this new wouldn't do this. Wondering if anyone else has this issue and how they solved it.
The car is going back to the dealer tomorrow. Thanks in advance

Just had them balanced by the dealer.
When I bought mine last year, there was a shimmy at 60mph. She had been sitting in a garage with very little opportunity to get out and stretch her legs other than car shows every once in a while. She had 1800 miles on the odo at the time and she shimmied all the way home from Georgia. Took her in as soon as I could and balancing did the trick. Might wanna take it to a wheel/tire place instead of a dealer and have them look at it.

Best of luck to you!! [8D]

First thing to check is uneven tire wear, ie alignment, then check tire weights find some one with a good machine, next check inner and outer tie rod ends, after that check the stearing shaft make sure the rubber isnt worn out or the joints worn out..highly unlikey but worth a check, last thing to check would be the rack.

Take off one of your front wheels, take it to a Goodyear service center. Ask them how well it is in balance and if they could get it in better balance. Sometimes its difficult to get it perfect.

Should check and equalizetire pressures, also. Are you running the 20's?

Could be a caster issue, have your alignment checked for good measure.

My Mom used to give me castor oil because I was always out of line! [8D]
