Lots of White Smoke

RE: Lots of White Smoke
Sorry to hear that!! I would think blown head gasket, but I have personally not seen any on the 3V engine before. I do not know what gaskets or head bolts Saleen uses, but the gaskets are MLS. I would bet that Saleen uses stock TTY bolts..........[sm=icon_beat.gif]
If you end up needing a real bottom end or upgraded gaskets and studs, give us a call

I will have the car towed to Lamotta performance. I'm sure they can have her back up and running again. I'm just worried I might need a new shortblock. Haney, I need you. Please shoot me a pm with the largest block and what heads I can run with the Saleen blower. I would love an aluminum 5.4L 3v motor.

Remember,
Everything can be fixed. If you have to get into the bottom end this is the time.
Not that this is any time for scolding..... but why did you drive it for another 5 miles home after you discovered this problem? Whenever I hear or discover a problem with my ride I pull over immediately and if I can't diagnose or have a pretty good idea what the issue is even if it's still driveable I call the flatbed. I even did this just the other day when I was getting a coise which I was sure a wheel bearing but decided not to push it and tow the thing. Good luck and keep us posted.

I was so distrout I just wanted to get her home right away. I was only 5 miles away, but I understand a lot could happen in 5 miles. I hope its just a head gasket and everything else is okay. I will definitley keep everyone posted. I assume the motor is going to have to be taken apart so I might just send the heads to JDM to have them ported and change the bottom end to a stroker kit. What do you guys think? Anything else I should look into while the motors apart?

What is the best rotating assembly to buy right now? I love the new 298ci rotating assembly from Livernois motorsports but also like the 300ci from haney motorsports. Is there anything else out there that is better?
