Not only do they look better...but the performance gains are there as well.

More contact to the pavement = more traction.

That looks unbelievable. I can't believe your rears don't rub the fenders on dips!

If you're having no clearance issues, than this is a no-brainer. I'm getting 305s when I replace the rear tires. If I can't hook up with 305s on the back, I never will...
