2006 production numbers
Anyone know how many saleens were built for 2006 and/or how I can find out how many were
built with the same options and colors as mine? I'd like to find out if possible.

Um yeah, 2,500 is way off. I got the #'s right from Saleen and total production for 2006 is 1661 thats total units mustangs f150 s7 altogether.
1645 were mustangs
698 n/a cars
184 convertables of which 31 were silver of which 21 were 5speeds.
947 total s/c car built
cool info for anyone who was intrested.

That's great that Saleen finally has those numbers. I thought Saleen gave up on releasing them. Do you mind me asking when you got them and who at Saleen gave you the numbers?
Also, the convertible count sounds really, really low, as it's just a bit higher than the '05 count. I recall talking to one of Saleen's corporate tech guys two years ago and he said Saleen would likely do a 50/50 mix of coupes to convertibles for '06 to make up for the low convertible production numbers for '05 (which I believe were caused by Ford's late delivery of convertibles to Saleen for the '05 model year). Maybe he was full of it.
