Tork Tech intake on the way

Oh yeah...it's getting retuned. That's why I'm doing this at the same time as the chicane intercooler. Didn't make sense to do it at two different times and have it retuned twice.
I don't believe it does....since the series II is an eaton and the series IV isn't. You can call torktech, though.

Hey Evil, I like that. What is the performance benefit you get with that btw? As 04-S281 asked I wonder if it is something that will make a differnece on an 04 car? Santa' seems to have come early to your house this year.
Very nice.
Peace

They say around 30rwhp from it. I'll be testing that claim. If so....it's roughly the same increase as a chicane intercooler.
I won't be able to tell what the individual numbers are for each since I would do them at the same time.....but I know a ballpark number that I hypothetically SHOULD be at according to claims.
we'll find out soon enough!

That is awesome. Even if both mods combined get you 45-50 extra HP's along with your new heat exchanger you know the car is going to run cool all day and hence keep the power where you want it in the car and out to the back wheels as opposed to getting heat soaked in July and losing that power.
Let us know how it goes. These are mods I think a lot of 02-04 owners that dont have the funds to go forged internals and want about 400 rwhp are going to be looking at.
I so wish I lived closer to a performance shop that had the expertise in doing this type of work that I could trust.
Peace.

Actually....the claimed 30rwhp/torque wasn't what sold me on it (although it will be nice if it lives up to that claim). What sold me is WHERE the increase in torque comes in. The low end torque jumps dramatically on dyno charts.
Hope I can repeat that.
Ultimately I'm just happy to have an intake that fits the series II. (the ripp kit does too...but that's the only other one). JLT needs to get one out already.
Side note- I was going to try the JLT CAI for the cobra out on my car with this TorkTech inlet, but JLT wanted to charge me a restocking fee and shipping charges both ways if it didn't work. Wasn't really interested in paying that kinda $ just to potentially gain 5 more hp.

Roughly $1200.
I already have the MAF and adapter which are necessary for the kit.
So all told it should be roughly the same cost (with install) as the chicane intercooler (installed). Claims of comparable results as well.
*EDIT: I guess when you factor everything in the price isn't too bad. The single blade throttle body typically runs about $600 and the series IV intake plenum (which is smaller) runs around $500-600. So for us series II guys....this isn't that bad of a deal.
