hey guys i bought an aluminum Saleen SC hood from someone but they did not have the hood vents. I wanted to know if theres any place that sells them other than saleen cuz they want i think it was 160 for them. I maybe even interested in getting the 09 hood vents. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure Saleen is the only place that's going to carry them, but maybe a vendor here has a relationship with someone with a hookup on the inside.

Yeah, no big surprise for a company that charges a $30000 premium for $10000 in parts.

I would strat with Brenspeed or JDM. Might still be the same price, but it won't take as long to get them.

I did the same thing.... I wonder if it was the same guy?
I called Saleen and they told me $120. Still a bit much but will look good when all done. Paint is the other issue, I have only called one shop so far and he wanted $900. Hopefully I can find somebody to do it less.

Good idea about calling some local shops that deal with Saleen product, maybe they will have extras laying around. Good luck! Let me know what you come up with. If I have any luck I will let you know.

Seriously? 900 to paint a hood?

That's worse than Saleen's markup.

I paid 120 for both of mine from Saleen and just used my $100 credit for filling out my survey when I bought the car. I could not find them anywhere, even Brenspeed.

That is a very fair price to prep and paint both sides of an aluminum hood, esp. if its a shop using quality materials.
