saleen 5 spoke vs. 7 spoke
Considering switching out my 7 spoke saleen rim with the 5 spoke forged 20'', i like the look more, and also am looking to shed some weight. Are the 5 spokers considerably lighter? or should i look in a different direction?

I would think that in some ways, it would be lighter but not considerably though.

Go to ebay get a used set 5 spokes, but keep your seven spokes to be able to put to 2005 specks at anytime you want, like MCA car shows (must be stock). You could call Brenspeed or JDM Engineering to see if they ever weighed for the difference.

The 5-spoke are forged allow wheels, I believe, so they should be a few pounds lighter.
I'd be interested in buying your rear wheels if you have the 20x10 upgraded wheels (which came with the 274/40/20 Dunlops on them from Saleen, I believe).

Think im going to pick up a set of the 5's on ebay. Found some for 770 for 4 which sounds like an alright deal to me. I plan on getting the chrome blasted off and getting them powder coated gunmetal!!!
I have the 10's in the rear, but i think i'll probably keep them as a spare set for now, plus the right rear has a little rash on it from the previous owner.

Post pictures when it's done! Of course, we all want to see it.

They are definitely lighter...roughly 25% lighter from about 40lbs/wheel for the 7-spokes to about 30lbs/wheel for the 5-spokes (for a total savings of about 40lbs)
Lifting the wheels next to each other to compare, it is very easy to detect the weight savings
