From what I understand, the LS1 was basically a Ford design that was sold to GM(don't quote me on that though). Which makes since, cuz if you look at an LS1 block it looks just like an old ford Y-block, only newer. And the heads use similar valve, port and bolt placement as the Fords.

Best trap 107.11mph, we'll see what the new intake/carb setup does.

no i havent done it, but i know exactly whats nessacery to make it work and id like to do it, it'd be something neat to do at work

basically, id use a 351 block, or build a 302 that u can rev the piss out of

you need alot of custom ****
custom cam(like a sbf cam, but swap where the exhaust and intake lobes are, because their opposite on the ls1 heads)
some seriously flycut pistons(ls1 heads have some decent sized valves)
and a custom intake, again so the ports line up right... maybe an ls1 carbintake would work, with modification

along with some other, more technical things

but it could be done

If it is true, then everyone has a right to bash Ford for being retarded enough to sell the design in the first place and build the Modular instead.

Something else to pick the brain, GM actually Designed the 460 bigblock back in the mid to late 60s and sold the design off to ford for they had a motor to run in NASCAR too. So you win some and you lose some i guess! I actually found that out when I was looking up info on the lsx/ford idea.

Interesting...................someone at work asked me if something like that was possible and I just told him he was retarded for thinking of a crossbreed like that.
